New York, NY | June 24, 2021 - RIXML.org, the leading industry association focused on improving the process of electronic research distribution and capturing investment interaction details, is pleased to announce that Deirdre Goldenbogen will transition to Executive Director, succeeding Jim Ulrich, who is leaving at the end of June to pursue a career in the public service sector.
Deirdre has been an active member of RIXML.org for over 20 years. Her background in research and her historical knowledge of the RIXML.org organization will ensure a seamless transition. With ongoing support from member firms, the organization will continue to focus on topics such as Entitlements, Linkbacks, and the emerging Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) taxonomy landscape, as well as embarking upon a complete review of the RIXML Standards Suite. The organization will also continue to take advantage of its recent membership growth, facilitating discussion among member firms to enable buyside firms, sellside firms, and vendors to collaborate in creating open standards and protocols that benefit all firms in our industry.
Deirdre commented, “I am happy to be stepping into the role of RIXML.org Executive Director at this time. Between welcoming new member firms, enjoying active participation in many of our working groups, and being in the beginning stages of reviewing the entire RIXML Standards Suite to ensure it meets today’s needs, this is an exciting time for our organization. We are fortunate to have so many active members, both new and long-standing, working together to create open industry standards that benefit all firms in our industry.“
Jim has been RIXML Executive Director since 2016; his leadership has ensured the continued development of the RIXML Standards Suite by providing guidance and organization to the consortium of member volunteers who collaborate to enhance the suite of standards.
Jim commented, “The last 4 years were very productive as we successfully rolled out the interaction standard, developed best practices for linkbacks, initiated ESG discussions on the best way to capture data, reinstituted the newsletter, and added new members to improve the discussion between the buy-side, sell-side, and vendors. I appreciate the members’ input as a volunteer organization, the success of the initiatives are only possible with the assistance of our dedicated members. “
